Handmade Rugs

There is no measure to how much charm can Handmade Rugs, also known as Dhurrie Rugs add to

your lifestyle. These rugs are hand knotted rugs with each thread being hand knotted.

The art of weaving developed in the Indian region, at a time when few civilizations knew about it.

Excavations at Moenjodaro and Harappa - ancient cities of Indus Valley civilization - have established that

the people knew the use of spindles and spun a wide variety of weaving materials.

In fact, some historians are of the view that it was the Indus Valley civilization that of the first time

developed the use of woven textiles.

The tradition of textile weaving has survived in the shape of folk culture in various parts of India. The textile designs, architecture and characteristic of our folk culture point to the floral and geometric patterns that are basic to carpet designing. This clearly shows that the art of carpet-making and designing existed in the region from very old times.

The Question is why Handmade Rugs? Because of the labor involved they will always be more expensive than machine made rugs. But like everything in life exclusivity has a price. The elegance, beauty and splendor of handmade rugs can never be matched by a machine made rug. And for that reason you would pay more.

And so if you want to add this charm in your lives, don't wait a second more and check out our handmade rug collection at :

Beach Cover-up Styles

As I mentioned earlier, you can find cover-ups in a variety of styles, colors, and designs. In this section, I'm going to explore the most popular types of beach cover-ups that are not just stylish but also excellent for sun protection.

1. Caftan

A caftan beach cover-up is one of the luxurious and most glamorous of beach cover-ups. It's an ankle length long or short sleeve flowy garment — it's typically seen as a variant of the tunic (another beach cover-up style). A caftan beach cover-up is sure to work great for those looking to get a long sleeve ankle length option that provides more coverage from the sun. This type of beach cover-up also come in a variety of fabrics, prints, colors, and patterns — so you're sure to find one that suits your unique taste and match your skimpy bikini.

 2. Tunic

This style of beach cover-ups is more like an oversized shirt. A tunic beach cover-up is a loose-fitting garment that's cut slightly above the knees and is typically short-sleeved. Tunic beach cover-ups are made of lightweight fabrics such as polyester, silk, rayon, cotton or chiffon. This beach cover-up style also comes in a variety of colors, prints, and patterns.

 3. Dress

Dress beach cover-ups are exactly what they sound like — they are dresses for the beach. This style of beach cover-ups can be short, strapless, maxi, spaghetti strap, halter — all of which can be found in a variety of shapes, fabrics, and sizes. Dresses for the beach are made of lighter material and are more revealing than your regular dresses since you're supposed to wear a swimsuit underneath. The best part is, you can easily find the one that suits your taste and style.

4. Sarong

This is the most versatile of all beach cover-ups. A sarong beach cover-up is a long piece of fabric that can be made into anything that tickles your fancy. You can choose to use it as a skirt, strapless dress, halter dress or one shoulder dress — it all depends on your creativity and style. Another good thing is that a sarong can double as a towel which you can place on the sand while you tan.

5. Long Cardigan

A long cardigan beach cover-up typically comes with an open front and it could either be long or short. As usual, the beach cover-up is made of light fabrics for comfort, and it can be found in both long and short sleeves. Long cardigan beach cover-ups are perfect for those who wish to look sexy in a comfortable way.

Other Styles of Beach Cover-ups

There are still many other styles of beach cover-ups including Rompers, skirts, shorts, shirts, jumpsuits, hoodies and pants. Rompers and jumpsuits are some of the great looking beach cover-ups that can even double as regular outfits. The separates which consist of tops, pants, shorts, and skirts are perfect for hanging around resorts and the like.

Why You Should Get a Beach Cover-up

With all that has been said, I'm pretty sure you can attest to how invaluable beach cover-ups are to your beach ensemble. Well, It's still great to get a better idea of how essential they are, and that's exactly what I'm about to explore. Let's get to it!

For starters, beach cover-ups protect your beautiful skin from the sun. It's pretty obvious that many of us hit the beach to feel the goodness of the sun, but excessive exposure is not a good thing.

Too much sun exposure can work against your skin in number of ways — it can cause age spots and wrinkles. It also accelerates the aging process, and that's a bad thing — I mean, no one wants to look older than they really are.

This is precisely where beach cover-ups come into play. They offer a stylish way to protect your skin from the sun — after spending a decent amount of time getting that sun-kissed glow, be sure to throw on your beach cover-up to stay protected for some time.

The best part is, the goodness of a beach cover-up goes beyond protecting your skin from the sun. They're also sure to come in handy when walking to and from the beach, especially when walking through the lobby or bar. You can also use beach cover-ups at resorts, particularly when your pool is a bit of a walk or if you don't fancy walking around in your sexy bikini.

Things to Consider when Shopping for Beach Cover-ups

• Choose a style that's comfortable and stylish in your own way. If you happen to be a person that likes a full cover-up, then you should go for a caftan — just like the one in the image above. A cardigan or sarong should be okay if you don't like the idea of covering up from shoulder to toe.

• Be sure that your beach cover-up matches your swimsuit

It's also an excellent idea to get beach cover-ups that are aligned with the colors of your bikinis. In other words, ensure that the color of your cover-up matches your extensive collection of swimwear.

• Pick the right fabric

Last but not the least, take your time to choose the fabric that works great for your style and personality. For instance, you can decide to pick a fabric that completely hides your bikini or one that's more of a see-through — it depends on what works for you.

And that's it! So far we have covered just about everything you need to know about beach cover-ups. The key takeaway: always pick a style that suits your personality and beach ensemble — it should also help you feel super comfortable! Here's to the perfect beach holiday!

Discover the best scarves for you

Shopping for scarves is always fun, though at times, it must get a little bit of a frazzling  [scarf1] experience with so many beautiful choices in color and pattern available. Where do you begin and how do you single out a scarf that suits your personal style and complements your skin tone best.

Choosing the right scarf to match your skin tone is treading a delicate balance between a complete hit and potentially epic fail. Avoid disaster and spending money on an accessory you will barely come to use after a slight remark made by a friend or colleague. Here are some cool tips to discovering the absolutely best color scarf to bring out the best in you.
Olive tones

Generally olive skin tones look ravishing in warm color tones. Soft reds and earth tones complement your skin and accentuate your natural features. Floral prints, either big and bold or minute and dainty printed scarves make for delightful additions to your wardrobe.

Come alive in scarves that represent nature at her best in shades from deep purples to somber yellows. Experiment with intensities and shades of orange and lavender as base scarf colors. Apricot undertones in scarves will emphasize and flatter your natural tone, much like softer additions in muted pinks and shades of yellow.

For light tones

Light skin tones are some of the easiest tones to work with when accessorizing. It’s like working with a blank canvas.

Women with light skins can wear almost any color scarf and get away with it. However, if you’re looking to match things correctly, the best color accents to suit your tone include shades that tend toward neutral colors.

Light pinks, beige, nudes and basic and bold shades of neutrals like black are definite winners. Bold prints in either abstract, graphic, or floral designs make for wonderful pairing combinations as well.

Ebony tones

Women with darker skin tones look gorgeous in shades that stem from wither extreme of the color spectrum. Go for really intense and deep darker tones to complement your smoky complexion, or opt for lighter beiges, khaki or camel tones to highlight and feature your palate.

A mix of patterns and highlights of colors thrown in create an alluring and instantly stylish look. Play with a range of soft and light shades to deep and bold colors.-
